How patients are referred to you

Gone are the days when patients had to wait months for an outpatient appointment. With Medefer, every GP referral is swiftly reviewed by UK-registered consultants, usually within 48 hours. Our service ensures patients receive expert attention sooner, ensuring timely diagnosis and treatment.

Referral from a GP

When a GP refers to Medefer, we securely review the patient’s details and decide whether to accept the referral.

Consultant review

A consultant reviews the referral. If tests are needed, we arrange them. If not, the patient returns to their GP with a detailed letter and welcome pack.
